The Borders series is a long-term project that began as an observation of the impact of various natural factors on the surfaces around us. But now my perception has changed. Its scale has changed. The confrontation of textures that I see correlates with my inner moods. And the mood is born of the reality that surrounds me. I live in Ukraine during the war, and the events that are happening are not only about the destruction of external things that can be seen and photographed. They also change the internal state of my consciousness. The line of division, the line of demarcation, the line of contact, the border, the confrontation, the border. These words take on different meanings depending on the context. And this project is not only about compositional constructions, it is my way of realizing how the war affects our interpretations of what we see. What associations and emotions arise when we contemplate certain objects before and now. And I'm very interested in whether the viewer will be able to see in these photos what I see: division, restrictions, capture, resistance, the consequences of temporary occupation, destruction. This is my research into the changes in our vision under the influence of martial law in the country and my non-obvious way of telling about the war, since all the obvious things have already been said over the years.

Серія «Кордони» це довгостроковий проект, який починався як спостереження за впливом різних природніх факторів на поверхні, що нас оточують. Але зараз моє сприйняття змінилось. Змінився його масштаб. Протистояння фактур, які я бачу, корелює з внутрішніми настроями. А настрій народжений реальністю, яка мене оточує. Я живу в Україні в часи війни, і події, що відбуваються, стосуються не тільки руйнації зовнішніх речей, які можна бачити і фотографувати. Вони змінюють і внутрішній стан моєї свідомості. Лінія розділу, лінія розмежування, лінія зіткнення, межа, протистояння, кордон. Ці слова набувають різні значення залежно від контексту. І цей проект не тільки про композиційні побудови, це мій спосіб усвідомити, як війна впливає на наші інтерпретації побаченого. Які асоціації і які емоції виникають при спогляданні тих чи інших об’єктів раніше і тепер. І мені дуже цікаво, чи зможе глядач побачити в цих світлинах те, що бачу я: розділення, обмеження, захоплення, опір, наслідки тимчасової окупації, руйнації. Це моє дослідження змін нашого бачення під впливом воєнного стану в країні і мій неочевидний спосіб розказати про війну, оскільки всі очевидні речі за ці роки вже проговорено.
